Happy Halloween 🎃 October Volunteering

My time at the Trinity Community Center   Hi everyone,   October was a hectic month involving countless nights studying. Going to volunteer in between the times that I was studying was definitely the mental and emotional break that I needed. With the difficult content that is expected to be memorized and absorbed, it's easy to take for granted the opportunity to be at such a prestigious school, especially with the added stress to do as best as you can. Volunteering allows me to think outside of my own stresses and "world," where I can think less selfishly and can actively put in time to care and tutor children with a level of attention and care that I wish I received when I was younger. As such, my volunteering at the Trinity Care Center impacted me in a way that I least expected. September in NOLA!

September in NOLA! Even though it is the first of October, what a better way to recap the first full month I've had in NOLA than recapping after the last day of September! I am from Baton Rouge, so of course I naturally found myself at LSU for my undergrad. The switch from undergrad to the rigorous Pharmacology Master's program at Tulane has been an adjustment. However, the support and kindness of the staff and the wonderful professors that teach the dense content (PHARMWIKI <3) have allowed me to succeed in no other way than I have before. From attending a large state school to attending my small class size at Tulane, I can finally say I am having the best educational experience going into Tulane’s Pharmacology graduate program. The main aspect of Tulane’s Pharmacology program that helped me succeed  so far is the vastness of information available. Not only do we have PharmWiki, the Bible of pharmacology, but we have our lecturer’s PowerPoints and notes that coincide with i
